You're invited to a 4th of July party, what should you bring? We got you, here are a few favorites that any crowd loves!



Firecracker Strawberries

yields: 10 | prep time: 0 HOURS 10 MINS | total time: 1 HOUR 10 MINS


These sweet treats are on theme for the 4th of July. Red, white, and blue ... AND soaked in booze? Yes please! These strawberries are first soaked in vodka, then dunked in marshmallow fluff and sprinkles.


INGREDIENTS:

3 c. strawberries

4 c. vodka

1 1/2 c. marshmallow crème

1 c. blue pop rocks


DIRECTIONS:

  • Place strawberries in a large bowl and pour over vodka until the berries are fully submerged.

  • Place in refrigerator and let soak for at least 1 hour.

  • Drain strawberries, reserving vodka for future use.

  • Pat berries dry with a paper towel.

  • Microwave marshmallow crème for 10 seconds. Dip berries first in fluff, then into Pop Rocks.

  • Serve.


QUICK TIP:

If you are going to a family party, leave out the vodka!



 


Blueberry Strawberry Mojito

yield: 1 COCKTAIL | prep time: 5 MINS | total time: 5 MINS


An easy recipe for Blueberry Strawberry Mojito cocktails. Refreshing and perfect for any cocktail party, or a red white and blue Fourth of July, Memorial Day, or Labor Day party.


INGREDIENTS:

3 tablespoons fresh blueberries— plus additional for garnish

2 fresh strawberries — diced, plus additional for garnish

10-15 fresh mint leaves — a small handful, plus additional for garnish

1/2 medium lime — juiced (about 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice)

1 teaspoon granulated sugar

1 1/2 ounces white rum Ice Club soda


INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Muddle the blueberries, strawberries, mint, lime juice, and sugar in the bottom of a tall serving glass (a collins glass is traditional), until the sugar is disoved and the berries break down. 

  • Add the rum and stir to combine.Fill the glass with ice, then top with club soda.

  • Stir to combine, then garnish with additional mint leaves and berries as desired.

  • Enjoy immediately.
