The wheels on the bus go round and round ...
Every year, moms and dads across the land are wondering how do I make that crayon wreath for the first day of school? JUST KIDDING ... we are pretty sure NO ONE is wondering that! At least not around here! But the first day of school is a big deal. It means our kids are growing up. It means bedtimes really need to be enforced. It means homework is coming. It also means that we have to start coming up with cute, Pinterest-like gifts for teachers and school friends alike.
We are going to give you the "Real Real" here. You don't have to be that Pinterest mom! All crafty and sticky from glue and ribbons! Nope, make it easy on yourself! I found these cute pencils on Shutterfly.com, personalized them, and voila! They arrived in the cute plastic pencil bag, and they were on SALE. All they needed was a little tag for well-wishes, and BOOM, you've got yourself a cute gift!
Everyone always asks about the tags. Easy peasy! I chose tags on this one because I wanted to dress up the plastic bag a bit. I keep stock in various sized Avery labels and tags. Avery.com is so easy to use. Check out their Design & Print template. Type in the item number, they provide already stocked designs for that shape and size. You can modify one of those, or create your own. Choose your font, color, play with the design, and print. The best part about this is that you get to be as creative as you want!
We will share throughout the year some cute, personal, and fun ways to gift to others without breaking the bank.
P.S. This is not an ad, so if Staples, Office Depot, Avery, Shutterfly, Amazon, or any other supply company wants to sponsor us, hit us up!! :-)
xoxo,
Julia and Jeannine
